Memorial Cards

are a keepsake card created to honor a deceased loved one. It typically includes personal details about the deceased, such as their name, dates of birth and death, and a brief message or quote. Memorial cards are often handed out at memorial services, funerals, or celebrations of life, and they can be designed in a way that reflects the personality or interests of the deceased.

Key Elements to Include in a Memorial Card:

  • Gather Information: Collect the necessary details like the name, dates, photo(s), and any text (quotes, poems, service details, etc.). Be sure to choose a photo that captures the essence of the person.

  • Choose the Card Format: Decide on the layout — most memorial cards are folded cards (bi-fold or tri-fold) but flat cards are also popular for simplicity.

Additional Tips:

      • Personalization: If the person was passionate about certain hobbies or had a specific love for nature, art, or music, consider reflecting that in the design. For example, a musician might have a note symbol, while someone who loved gardening might have floral designs.
      • Cultural and Religious Considerations: Be mindful of any cultural or religious preferences when choosing symbols, colors, and quotes for the card. Some religions may have specific guidelines about the imagery used on memorial cards.
      • Keep it Simple: While it’s important to include meaningful elements, try to avoid overcrowding the card with too much information or too many images.
